Allstate が Internet で事故報告受付

Allstate は今年の3月から、「Customer Care」という自社の web サイトで保険料入金状況を照会できるようにしていた(First Phase)が、今回、インターネットで事故の第一報をできるようになった。
契約者は事故の内容を Web へ送信し、電話をもらいたい時間を指定する。Allstate からは即座に受領報告が送信されてくる。

将来は(Future Phaseでは)、契約内容照会、オンライン保険料支払、生保情報提供等を検討している。

Allstate Announces Online Claim Reporting Capabilities

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate Insurance Company announced today the first major enhancement to the Customer Care Center, the existing service feature on the Allstate corporate web site, www.allstate.com. Registered Allstate property and casualty insurance customers can now report a claim online.

In its first phase, the Customer Care Center enabled registered customers to view property and casualty insurance policy billing information and payment history. With online claim reporting, customers can now provide the details of their loss and designate a call back time prior to submitting the claim. Internet claims are then transmitted to Allstate, generating a claim number which is immediately returned to the customer as online verification of the transaction.

"We are very excited to bring internet claim reporting to our customers. We see it as taking another important step toward making it easy for our customers to do business with us. This product serves our customers, supports our agents and exceeds what most of our competition is offering in terms of online claim reporting capabilities," said Allstate Claims Assistant Vice President Cathy Lazaroff.

Future phases of the Customer Care Center website will allow Allstate customers to view policy information, make online payments and access life and commercial insurance policy information.

Allstate's Customer Care Center website was launched in March, 1999, allowing customers to view their billing status and payment history online.

Travelers が今年4月から始めた内容とほぼ同じものと思われる。
事故報告受付後、クレームナンバーをアサインしてすぐに契約者に打ち返すところが大変良い。 (インターネットでの事故報告がきちんと伝わったことが明らかになり、契約者としては安心である上、次回からのコンタクトの際にそのクレーム番号をキーにすればスムーズである。)
